About Ballet Raíces de Colombia

The Ballet Raíces de Colombia (BRDC) was founded in 2000 in Montreal to promote Colombian culture and traditions in the city, as its own website recounts.

In 2005 the BRDC founded its dance school, the EBRDC, to train new dancers of Colombian folklore in Montreal, and it keeps a program of performances and Colombian folk dance classes.

Its founder, Carlos Reyes, a former dancer and co-founder of the Ballet Folclórico de Antioquia and a Colombian designer and choreographer, leads the project; the site publishes the address of its classes on Rosemont Boulevard in Montreal.
