About Drawing Alegria Foundation

Drawing Alegria Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Mississauga, Ontario, founded in 2014 by the Garzón brothers. Its name joins the Spanish of Colombia with its purpose: to draw smiles and joy on children's faces.

The foundation fundraises in Canada to finance cleft lip and palate surgical journeys for impoverished children living in rural regions of Colombia, and it also supports related procedures such as dental treatments, nose and ear reconstructions, psychological treatments and speech therapy. Its journeys already exceed twenty-three editions and have benefited more than one thousand children.

In Canada it organizes events and initiatives such as its benefit golf tournament and informs Canadians about cleft lip and palate, and in 2026 it acted as the fundraising partner of Colombiatón, the Colombian community's solidarity day, channelling support to the organizations that provide the medical services in Colombia.
