About Salsa Beat Ensemble
Salsa Beat Ensemble is a Colombian salsa ensemble based in Victoria, British Columbia. Under the tagline “Feel the Rhythm, Live the Salsa”, the group brings together a dozen musicians to perform Colombia's authentic salsa live, with vocalists, horns, piano and a full percussion section.
The ensemble launched in February 2026 at The Coda, the downtown Victoria stage, and that same year headlined the Colombian Summer Rumba with which Victoria celebrated Colombia's Independence Day, with a salsa class and a repertoire of Colombian salsa classics.
In September 2026 it returned to The Coda with a crossover show that combines the energy of salsa with other Latin rhythms. Its live music nights have become a meeting point for Victoria's Colombian and Latin community around the music of Colombia.
